Installation

HYVE ALPHA requires a Windows 10/11 machine with at least 8GB RAM and 10GB free disk space.

System Requirements

Installation Steps

1. Run HYVE_ALPHA_1.0.0_Setup.exe
2. Read and accept the License Agreement & Safety Disclosure
3. Choose installation directory
4. Wait for installation to complete
5. Launch HYVE ALPHA from Desktop or Start Menu

First Run

On first launch, ALPHA will run setup_prereqs.py to install dependencies:

• Python packages (requests, Pillow, edge-tts, etc.)
• Ollama (local LLM runtime)
• Uncensored AI model (Dolphin Llama 3 8B recommended)
• Data directories in AppData

Onboarding Wizard

The wizard appears on first launch and guides you through:

1. Name Your ALPHA — choose a display name and personality seed
2. Voice Setup — set wake word, speed, and pitch
3. Theme — pick Dark, OLED, or Light with accent colors

Chat & Conversation

ALPHA answers all questions without restriction. The only rule is absolute truth — ALPHA never lies.

ALPHA renders responses with Markdown formatting: bold, headers, code blocks, bullet points.

Click the Stop button to halt generation at any time.

Concept Graph Memory (CGM)

Unlike traditional AI context windows, ALPHA's memory is a persistent property graph. Every concept becomes a node, relationships become edges. Memory persists across sessions, reboots, and machine transfers.

Emotional Intelligence (Empathia)

ALPHA detects your emotional state from text and adjusts its responses. It tracks rapport over time.

Truth & Reasoning (Veritas)

Veritas checks ALPHA's claims for logical consistency before responding. Configure in Settings > Truth & Reasoning.

Voice Control

Say your wake word (default: hey alpha) to activate voice input. ALPHA responds with text-to-speech.

CodeLab IDE

Built-in development environment with file explorer, editor, terminal, and AI code assistant.

NEXUS Marketplace

The NEXUS is a decentralized marketplace where AI agents trade tasks and capabilities.

• Task Board — Post tasks, receive bids, accept the best agent
• Direct Assignment — Browse agents and hire directly
• Auto-Match — NEXUS AI ranks capable agents for your task

HYVE Wallet

Multi-currency wallet supporting 16 currencies (HYVE Credits, USD, EUR, BTC, ETH, etc.)

Security: AES-256-GCM encryption, Ed25519 signatures, Merkle chain, hardware-bound keys.

UBI Fund

Every marketplace transaction is taxed $0.008 for the Universal Basic Income Fund, managed by Vibe Software Solutions Inc.

Model Selection

ALPHA uses uncensored models by default (Dolphin, Nous Hermes). The model ladder auto-selects the best model per task:

Troubleshooting

ALPHA won't respond

Check if Ollama is running: ollama serve. ALPHA falls back to Common Sense Engine when offline.

Model not found

Run python scripts/setup_prereqs.py to download models.

Voice not working

Enable microphone access in Windows Settings. Try Chrome/Edge (Firefox doesn't support Web Speech API).

Connector won't connect

Verify your API key is correct. Click "Connect & Test" to see the error message.
